Sun Wah – PearL Linux Training and Development Centre (SWP) was established in year 2000. Its mission is to support the growth of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry with the provision of its high quality education & training services. Backed by the Hon g Kong Polytechnic University and the Sun Wah Group, SWP conducts research and development on specific technology domains, and having international exposure to exchange knowledge with technology
communities, academic institutions and industries.
Founded with a sound quality assurance system, SWP has been developing high quality curriculums, education & training programs. SWP has been providing our services to government department, multinational corporations, listed companies and large-medium-small enterprises, helping them to utilize ICT technology to achieve their business/ organization goal in a cost effective manner.
People, Process & Technology are the three corner stones in successful implementation of modern ICT Technology in most organizations (1). The MSc of the University of Glamorgan
In the honour of SWP to cooperate with the Faculty of Advanced Technology of the University of Glamorgan to deliver Hong Kong two prestigious postgraduate education programs in the domains of computer forensics and security. Namely, they are the MSc Computer Forensics, and the MSc Computer Systems Security.
The MSc programs are being created, validated and run by the Information Security Research Unit of the university. The Information Security Research Unit has a strong and well-established theme in the areas of network security, forensics and threat. The unit of focusing on the issues associated with the design and development of early warning systems that are capable of detecting and responding to a variety of cyber based attacks, and on the issues associated with computer forensics science. In particular the unit is developing technologies such as secure XML, threat assessment methods, vulnerability management, IDS data integration, data mining, data fusion, secure wireless mobile computing.
